Clinton Township Licensed Esthetician 586-413-7799

In 2006 I started this business so that people like you could find a safe place to get services. I’m a professional in the beauty industry. An industry that is valued at more than $84,000,000,000 (billion). As a beauty industry professional I don’t agree with some of our industry's predatory practices. Bottom line is, you are the bottom line.

My goal as a beauty industry professional is to put you up on game. I don’t want you to make a purchasing decision that you later regret. When you search “male body-waxing or bikini-waxing near me” you have the pick of the litter. I am excited for you that there are so many places to choose from. With so many choices, who do you pick? You're on my website so of course I want for you to pick ME as your most obvious choice, but this is not about me. It's about you! So I've complied a list of 5 things to look for when you are choosing an esthetician.

Here are 5 things you should consider when choosing an esthetician

  1. Are they licensed?*

  2. Do they offer specialized services?

  3. What products do they use?

  4. Is their location and equipment clean and maintained?

  5. What do others have to say about them?

*In Michigan estheticians are required to have a license issued by LARA. Anyone offering services such as lash extensions, waxing, facials, and lash tinting must have an esthetician or cosmetology license. As of July 1, 2024 the state of Michigan requires that estheticians clock 750 of training before they can sit for their license. This is a 350 hour increase, but don't worry I've been licensed since 2005. I got you!

It’s always great to have an esthetician that is well versed in the practice of esthetics. While they may specialize in one area. The esthetician that you choose should be able to help you determine the best treatment options available. Your esthetician should never perform services outside of their scope of practice.

As a licensed professional we have access to professional products. Do they have access to or retail professional products? My own weirdness: I don't like to see OTC (over the counter) or multilevel marketing products used in treatment services. The thing to focus most on is does the product get you the results you seek.

The location where you are receiving your services should be clean, well light, and sanitized. Your safety is top priority.

With the introduction of online reviews it’s easy to find out what others have to say about a service provider. Unfortunately in the age of the internet everything can be manipulated, including 5-star reviews. I encourage you to read between the lines on glowing reviews and the negative reviews. If you still can’t make heads or tails of the situation. Just ask the esthetician about the review in question. If it’s an actual client they should be able to answer your questions.

Another factor to consider when picking your esthetician. How well does he or she play in the sand box? Meaning are they respected among their peers in the industry and their business neighbors? I hope these 5 tips help you when deciding on your esthetician. If you have questions or want to say hello drop me a line at:Tiffany@mebeautyrepublic.com
