Safety is Key When Going Hair Free

According to the U.S. Occupational Safety & Health Administration (OSHA) guideline, all estheticians must, among other things, wear gloves and perform the one-time-use per applicator policy for application of hair removal products.

A recent article published in Skin Deep Magazine states that “precautions (UPs), which are regulations that enforce the use of  personal protective equipment to provide barriers between the employee and any potential danger or contamination. Gloves are the requisite UP barriers to harmful and contaminating exposures during these services.

Rochester based esthetician, Tiffany Taylor has been an advocate for safe and effective body waxing since 2004. She uses the highest standards in waxing methods and products.

“I don’t double dip with applicators and have spent years studying the laws about the services I offer,” said Taylor. “It’s important for men and women to know the safety regulations and make sure their estheticians and spa providers are following them.”
